Details emerged Thursday evening that Manchester United, Manchester City and Leicester City sent their scouts specifically to monitor young Nigerian hot-shot Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure as he was involved in a Europa league play off game when his club, Club Brugge entertained AEK Athens.
Bonaventure was also observed by scouts from Monaco and Borrusia Dortmund as he started lasted 80 minutes on the pitch in a game which ended goal-less.
The 19 year old forward has been painting Belgium with goals since joining Club Brugge during the summer from lowly Ukrainian club Zorya Luhansk — no wonder the sudden interest from all angles for the player.
Bonaventure is no stranger to United manager, Jose Mourinho, as both Manchester United and Zorya were involved in a Europa League play off game last season.
The Nigerian Neymar, as the player is nicknamed in some quarters, had set a target to be the highest goal scorer in the Belgian top flight this season, and he seems to be keeping up with his dream after notching 5 goals from 5 games so far in only his first season in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
Dennis signed a contract to remain with Brugge until 2021.
