Nigeria’s forgotten Left-Back, Taye Taiwo has joined Switzerland’s Super League side, FC Lausanne-Sport from HJK Helsinki.
Taiwo decided to move on from Finland, despite an impressive season. The news came from an announcement in Les Blanc’s website after he passed his medical.
FC Lausanne-Sport are currently placed 7th in the Swiss Super League with 18 points.

Taiwo was voted the third best player at the U20 World Cup 12 years ago in Holland, behind Argentine Super Star Lionel Messi (1st), and Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel(2nd).
After early stints in the domestic league with Gabros International (now FC Ifeanyi Ubah), and Lobi Stars, Taiwo joined Olympic Masseile of France, where he remained for 6 years, scoring 17 goals in 192 appearances. But his career later plummeted after joining AC Milan. However, should his performance in the last term be considered, Taiwo may just find himself back in the Nigerian national team sooner than later.
