Barcelona have joined the race to sign Spurs midfielder Dele Alli after being impressed by his performances this season, according to reports.

Dele Alli has scored 10 goals in 17 Premier League appearances for Spurs this season has already ben rewarded with a new contract to remain with Spurs until 2022.

Manchester United and Real Madrid have been said to show interest in the England forward, who joined Spurs from MK Dons for an initial $6.2m in February 2015.

Mourinho has £750m in redevelopment at his disposal, and will be willing to meet Spurs reported demand of at least £70m in transfer fee for the player.

Should Tottenham’s transfer romance with Real Madrid continue, the Dele Alli deal is likely to go the way of Real Madrid, just as it was in the case of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.

In an interview with ESPN last week, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, described Alli as the “most important player to emerge in English football in recent years. He is a player with a lot of aggression in attack, ruthless and determined when he goes forward, which makes him extra dangerous,”
